Thesis Statement

Internet is very beneficial for our life and has many positive effects such as reaching information easily, doing our business online and shopping online no matter it has some disadvantages also.

Technology in Education

Technology keeps affecting our world in many fields. One of these fields is education. Nowadays many teachers are trying to use technology in their classes as much as they can. On the other hand, there are teachers also who like using pen and paper in thier courses. Of course, students' opinions are very important on this issue and as a student I think classes in which technology is used and classes in which pen and paper are used can be contrasted according to efficiency and enjoyment.

I guess teachers can make courses more effective by using technology. In order to better understand why it is more efficient let's imagine both classes. In first class teacher likes using pen and paper. He/She asks a question to the students. Probably one or two students will be able to answer that question. However, in second class in which technology is used all students will be able to answer that question via internet. This means less time and more efficiency.

Second difference between these two classes is enjoyment of the course. Personally I enjoy more while I am using computer. I guess most of my friends also think like this. The reason for this may be the fact that it is more easy to work with computer. For instance, there isn't spell check in paper. On the other hand, computer allows us to detect the mistakes and it is very easy to edit what we have written.

To sum up, the differences between these two classes are very important and should be considered seriously. We should find the best way for efficient and enjoyable lesson.

Japan

Visiting new places has always been enjoyable to me and I visited many places as much as I could afford it. However, as you know it is very expensive for many people to visit a foreign country especially in our country. As a result of this, as Turkish students we have been always asked which country we would like to visit instead of which country we have visited. Personally, if I had chance, I would like to visit Japan since I want to see technology there and I want to be more familiar with their culture.

We all know that Japan is one of the most developed countries in technology. I wonder mostly the Maglev train in Japan. It is said to be the fastest train in the world. It speeds up to 350 MPH. Moreover, this veichle doesn't have connection with the railroad and it travels about 1 metre above it. I would really want to travel with that train. Also I would like to visit technology expositions in there.

Japan has very different and interesting culture too. While I was interested in Aikido, which is japanese martial art, I discovered the difference of Japanese culture. In Japan culture modestness and tolerance is very important. It is said that in order to understand Japan culture you have to live with it. That's why it is very attractive to me.

To sum up, I have a lot of countries in my mind that I want to visit but Japan will be always priority for me. I hope one day I will visit there.

Essay

Every person has his/her own characteristics, habits, behaviors, hobbies and interests. I have several interests which might be interesting for you such as being addicted to computer, being interested in politics and chess.

I think I am an addicted person to computer since it entertains and teaches me very much. I mostly use computer for fun by playing games. I generally play PES, Counter-Strike, Age of Empires and Football Manager. I also play some online games. Omerta, an online strategy mafia game, is my favorite one and generally I sleep very late because of this game. Secondly, computer is a source of information for me thanks to internet connection. I can get any information I want by using it. It also allows me to create new images, videos and many other things that helps to develop my creativity. I use some programs such as Corel-Draw to create logos just for fun.

Politics is a very big part of our lives and it is very interesting to me. I think everybody should think about social events and should be more sensible. We are all a part of a society and what happens in society is directly related to us. I am trying to clarify my political view via reading political books, articles and other people's opinions. While I am doing this I come across a lot of interesting information. Moreover, voting for one party without having any political knowledge seems very ridiculous to me. Every voter should have information about politics and should vote according to this.

Another interest of mine is chess. Chess is one of the my favorite games and I like playing it very much. In chess there is no factor of chance and this makes it very attractive.You have to use your brain and skills. Playing chess also develops one's logical skills since you have to think logically while playing it. Decision-making skills also can be developed by playing chess and this can be transfered to real life.

These are the biggest parts of my life and I spend my time mostly with these things. They may not be such interesting things for you but I enjoy doing all of them

Hi everybody

My name is Onur and I am going to talk about myself a bit. I was born in Ankara in 1990. I have spent my life in Ankara and Baku which was a great experience for me. I have one brother who is 9 years old. His name is Okan. Moreover, I have a lot of relatives because of the fact that my grandmothers and grandfathers had a lot of children :)

My hobbies are playing football, chess, play station and some online games such as omerta and ikariam. I can say that computer is a part of my life. I use computer in order to entertain myself and learn some new things. It seems that in this course I will use computer for my education as well thanks to Sedat Akayoglu.

To be honest I don't like to talk about myself since I think people can know me better by spending time with me. However, this is our task and I had to write.Thank you for reading this short writing about me.
